Marnus Labuschagne Omitted from Australia's One-Day International Lineup Against India
Labuschagne finds himself omitted from the three-game ODI series against India, as high-performing Queensland teammate Matt Renshaw getting a surprise inclusion.
Recent Form Lead to Omission

Labuschagne has featured in 68 ODIs and accumulated 1,871 runs at an batting average of 34.64, but will now continue to press his claims a Test team comeback in time for the Ashes beginning in Perth on November 21.
Renshaw's Return and Other Squad Updates
Recent performances suggest of a improvement in form with 160 for Queensland in the Sheffield Shield this week, while Renshaw made a century for the Bulls in the same game against Tasmania.
Renshaw is in line to make his white-ball international debut in the upcoming series against India after his last inclusion in an ODI squad in 2022.
The left-hander has played 14 Test matches with the last coming in India in 2023 but is also seeking a return to the Test team as Australia seek a solution to their opening batting issues.

Big Bash star Mitch Owen might get his ODI debut after being concussed in the build-up to Australia’s most recent 50-over series against South Africa.
Skipper Pat Cummins remains on the sidelines as he aims to recover from a back injury in time to captain Australia in the opening Test of the Ashes in November.
Team Announcement Approach and Schedule
Australia have announced a squad for only the initial two T20 matches against India with the upcoming Ashes series, although Glenn Maxwell will miss all of the five-match series due to a wrist injury sustained in New Zealand.
Mitch Marsh will lead both the ODI and T20 teams after hitting a ton in the final game against New Zealand to secure a two-nil victory last week.
“We have named a squad for the ODI series and first two games of the T20 series as there will be rotation through the later stages of the series as players get ready for the cricket season through Sheffield Shield cricket,” Australia chair of selectors George Bailey said.
“The majority of the T20 squad will remain together as it’s an important period in the preparation for the World Cup next year, however we are trying to strike a balance to ensure we simultaneously prepare specific players for the Test matches ahead.”
Australia’s three-match ODI series against India begins on October 19 in Perth, before the opponents play five T20 internationals from October 29.
